End of the year reflections

It's almost the end of the year and I have so much to be thankful for; it's been a great year of music, learning, teaching, traveling, health, and personal growth. I love my life because I get to do so many great things. I wake up every morning and I start my day by teaching kids about jazz and the rest of the day, into the evening, I share with them all aspects of music performance. I play with great musicians who are also great people. Courtney Krause has had an amazing year from her CD release to the recent IPR performance. English is gaining local notoriety as we continue to perform more; we're also working on a lot of new material that we're excited to be performing live. Playing with Scot Sutherland is always a joy in any setting from duo to large group. Making art with Gustav Art is on a different sensory level with sound and digital projections. And I always have a great time with my friends in Freestyle playing classic rock and roll.

Two pieces of news to share:

New Years Eve with Grand Ave Ruckus, the Collective Indifference, and ENGLISH. You can learn more and purchase tickets here.

I recently did an interview with Courtney Krause for Urban Plains. We discussed her career and women in music. Watch the video here.

Enjoy the rest of 2018 and thank you for reading my musings.
